Faculty Profile Assistant Professor Kendra Gale joined the faculty in 2002 after teaching at the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota and completing an MA and PhD at the University of Minnesota. Prior to her academic career, she spent 15 years in consumer research and account planning. She teaches courses in visual communication, research methods and advertising. Her research interests include visual communication and identity construction in market exchanges. Most recently, she has been exploring implications of the dialectical tensions of commodification and singularization embedded in the market and social practices of scrapbooking. In addition, she has published several articles on pedagogical practices in advertising instruction - particularly in the area of consumer insight and account planning. Her BA is in philosophy from St. Olaf College.
