Senior Instructor Mindy Kiger Cheval joined the SJMC faculty in 1996 as a visiting instructor and was head of the advertising sequence from 2005 through 2007. During her tenure as sequence head, she created and successfully launched advertising a2b, and she developed, with David Slayden, an executive-in-residence program bringing advertising executives to CU to interact with students in meaningful ways. Professors Cheval and Slayden also co-created the Innovators Series and launched the a2b international program in Shanghai, China during the Spring 2008. Prior to coming to CU, Mindy spent 14 years in advertising in New York City where she was a senior partner and associate media director at Ogilvy & Mather.
