The argument in The Making of Citizens:
1. People gain little political knowledge from tv news
2. Young people have less sense of civic responsibility because they have less power
3. Thus: news creates a “structure of feeling.” News doesn't create informed citizens but establishes what it means to be a citizen.


How does television news:
