Associate Professor Tom Yulsman

tom yulsmanAssociate Professor Tom Yulsman taught Science Writing, the Carbon, Climate and Society seminar, and the Scripps Fellows seminar.

Yulsman wrote "Meltdown," published in the December 2003 issue of Audubon. His story investigated the rapidly shrinking glaciers of Glacier National Park and the accompanying ecological shifts. His said his interest in environmental issues has encouraged him to continue writing and researching for Audubon.

This spring, Yulsman was on sabbatical and researched three additional feature articles for Audubon. The first feature is about eco-tourism and cloud forests in the Monteverde region of Costa Rica.

The second takes a close look at the spread of wolves through large parts of the West, and the third is about avalanches.
