The '70s

Carol Gillaspy ('71) is retired and lives in Englewood. Her husband, Frank, died in June 2003.

Mark Gutsche ('73) recently started a communications consultant agency in Sarasota, Fla. He had been a vice president at Johnson & Johnson, vice president of communications for Tropicana, senior director of communications for Nabisco and communications director for Del Monte in San Francisco. Michael Knisley (MA '75) is in his second year as the senior editor for ESPN.com in Connecticut. He is in charge of ESPN.com's Page 2, where he says humor and satire run his life. Michael.Knisley@espn3.com

Debra Turner ('75) is resources and global equities editor on the Dow Jones Newswires Global Desk. She earned an International MBA in 1995 from the Wirtschaftsuniversitat Wien in Vienna and the University of South Carolina. She lives in New Jersey. Debraaturner@hotmail.com

Dave Curtin ('78), a reporter at The Denver Post, won first place for his education story, “Colorado Fumbles on Higher Ed,” at the Colorado Associated Press Editors and Reporters contest in February.

Justin Mitchell ('78) is working for The Standard in Hong Kong as a copy editor and occasional reporter. Previously, he worked for Weekly World News.

Rob Reuteman ('78), the business editor of the Rocky Mountain News, was awarded second place for his business columns at the Society of Professional Journalists'25th annual Colorado competition in May.

Julie Martin Sunich ('78) is the writer, consultant and owner of Full Circle Communications near Tampa Bay, Fla. Sunich is a free-lance writer and a restaurant columnist for Tampa Bay Illustrated. She and her husband, Michael, had fraternal twin boys in August. Martinsunich@mindspring.com
