Darin McGregor ('02), a photographer at the Greeley Tribune, won the Best of Colorado Award by the Society of Professional Journalists' 25th annual Colorado competition in May for his contribution to stories on the challenges and successes of people in the disabled community. This award recognizes the best of show in all circulation categories. McGregor won first place for best series at the Colorado Press Association awards in February and also won four awards at the Colorado Associated Press Editors and Reporters contest in February: first place for general news photo, second place for continuing photo coverage, honorable mention for sports photo and honorable mention for spot news photo.
