One could say the power trip is over for Steve Volstad ('70).
After a few years as manager of customer communications for Carolina Power & Light, he was recently named manager of marketing and communications for the University of North Carolina Center for Public Television.
He handles all marketing and promotional activities as well as graphics services.
Before his job with Carolina Power & Light, Volstad held management positions with Nevada Power Co. and Public Service Company of Colorado in the course of his 27-year career in marketing and promotion.
He and his wife, Sam, live in Cary, N.C.
