Rebecca Adamson (’00) is an actress who lives in West Hollywood, Calif.

Cara Eastwood (’00) is press secretary to Wyoming Gov. Dave Freudenthal. She had been a staff photographer with the Wyoming Tribune-Eagle in Cheyenne.

Jason Hoff (’00) is a copywriter at Cliff Freeman and Partners in New York City.

Jessica Peck Corry (’01) is a policy analyst with the Independence Institute in Golden. She is also a Denver-based freelance writer.

Reuben Hower (’01) is a copywriter with BBDO Worldwide Inc. in New York City.

Alexandra Perakis (’01) is a senior merchandising associate at Glamour magazine in New York City.

Sheryl Bass (MA ’02) is account executive with The SolutionPR, a Denver-based public relations firm.

Brent Boyer (’02) of the Hayden Valley Press won second place in headline writing and second place on news page design in the 2006 Colorado Press Association Contest in February. He also won first place for a series written with Mike Lawrence (MA ’05) for the Steamboat Pilot & Today in the same contest, which also won first place in the Colorado Associated Press Editors and Reporters award in February.

Betsy Brottlund (’02) has been promoted to account manager at (W)right On Communication in San Marcos, Calif. She will take on responsibility for developing and managing client communication programs. She joined the company in 2004 as an account executive.

Jason Burianek (’02) is a football coach for McKendree College in Lebanon, Ill. He married Michelle Hasheider last May. The couple lives in Okawbille, Ill.

Rebecca Cooper (’02) is a marketing manager with Starz Entertainment in Denver.

Jake Harkins (’02) has joined The Yellow Scene, a monthly magazine produced in Erie, as an editor. Harkins won second place in serious column writing and third place in feature story for the Aurora Sentinel and Daily Sun in the 2006 Colorado Press Association Contest in February.

Darin McGregor (’02), a photographer at Rocky Mountain News, recently won first place in the photographer-of-the-year competition in the National Press Photographers Association regional division. He also won the Colorado Associated Press Editors and Reporters second-place award in sports photo and second place in feature photo for the Greeley Tribune in February.

Jenn Ooton (’02) of the Longmont Daily Times-Call won a Colorado Associated Press Editors and Reporters third-place award in February in editorial.

Laura Stroup (’02) was recently promoted to account supervisor at Grey Worldwide. She lives in New York City.

Rebecca Lynn Stryker (’02) joined “The Morning Wrap” crew on WTKE 98.1 as “Rebecca, the Sports Babe” and was also asked to help with the syndicated radio show “Southern Sports Tonight.” Stryker started at Star Broadcasting in 2005 as an account executive and has also been producing radio commercials. She got married in May 2006 and lives in Fort Walton Beach, Fla.

Jeremy Boland (’03) is an art director at Borders Perrin Norander Inc. in Portland, Ore.

Nicole Frey (’03) of the Vail Daily won second place in deadline news reporting and third place in education story in the 2006 Colorado Press Association Contest. She also won the Colorado Associated Press Editors and Reporters second-place award for environmental story in February.

Scott Ginsberg (’03) is a copywriter with the DDB Worldwide Communications Group in New York City.

Lisa Hidalgo (’03) joined KMGH-Channel 7 as a weekday reporter and a weekend morning weather reporter. She had worked at KVBC in Las Vegas, KRDO in Colorado Springs and KREX in Grand Junction.

Cate Malek (’03), formerly of the Fairplay Flume, won second place for special section in the 2006 Colorado Press Association Contest in February.

Erin Murphy (’03) is a marketing analyst with the Sterling-Rice Group in Boulder.

Alanna Rizzo (MA ’03) has been with the WISC-TV Sports team in Madison, Wis., since March 2005. She is a reporter and weekend sports anchor. She had been the weekend sports anchor at KAUZ-TV in Wichita Falls, Texas.

January Vernon (’03) is an art director for DDB Worldwide Communications Group in New York City.

Alicia Wallace (’03) of the Boulder Camera won first place in business writing and second place in agriculture story in the 2006 Colorado Press Association Contest in February.

Brittany Anas (’04) of the Boulder Camera won second place and third place in education story in the 2006 Colorado Press Association Contest in February.

Alison Borden (’04) of the Greeley Tribune won a Colorado Associated Press Editors and Reporters second-place award in February for headline writing.

Danny Burau (’04) is an art director at TDA Advertising & Design in Boulder.

Erin Cox (’04) is a staff writer for the Capital in Annapolis, Md. She had worked for the Orlando Sentinel.

Patrick Kelley (’04), formerly of the Aurora Daily Sun, won a Colorado Associated Press Editors and Reporters second-place award for sports photo, and second and third place in general news photo in February.

Katie McCarthy (’04) is an art director at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners in San Francisco.

Travis Nuckolls (’04) is a copywriter at Public Interest Productions in Los Angeles.

Alex Rice (’04) is an art director at TDA Advertising & Design in Boulder.

Jessica Shank (’04) is a copywriter at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners in San Francisco.

Mark Stiltner (’04) is a copywriter at Greenhouse Partners in Boulder.

Kristen Allen ('05) is living in Berlin and working at Spiegel Online International, the English online version of Der Spiegel, the most widely read weekly news magazine in Germany.

Chad Brophy (’05) is a copywriter at Eric Mower and Associates in Charlotte, N.C.

Sarah E. Burney (’05) is a part-time broadcast operator at KRQE News 13 in Albuquerque, N.M.

Christine Dell’ Amore (MA ’05) has accepted a position as an editor for National Geographic News in Washington, D.C.

Robert Drews (’05) has taken a position as the office manager and director of promotions of The Onion Inc. He is responsible for planning and execution of The Onion events, creating weekly newsletters and handling office operations.

Chris Gallegos (’05) is the education reporter, weekend reporter and weather fill-in at KFTR in Bismarck, N.D.

Barton Glasser (’05) of the Montrose Daily Press won first place in news photograph and first place and second place in photo essay in the 2006 Colorado Press Association Contest in February.

Lauren Glendenning (’05) is a general assignment reporter in the cities of Fairfax and Burke, Va., for the Connection Newspapers.

Scott Gornall ('05) is an assistant editor at Skiing Magazine in Boulder.

Warren R. Green (’05) is the promotions coordinator and an on-air character on the morning show at CBS Radio in Denver.

Mike Lawrence (MA ’05) of the Steamboat Pilot & Today won first place in series and education story in the 2006 Colorado Press Association Contest in February. He also won the Colorado Associated Press Editors and Reporters first-place award in feature story and third place in investigative reporting in February. He, Brent Boyer (’02) and three other reporters won first place in series in the same contest. Lawrence also won first place in that contest in public service with several other reporters for the Rocky Mountain News, where he was an intern.

Kelly McCallister (’05) is a graduate student at Quinnipiac University in New Haven, Conn.

Meredith B. McKee (’05) is a public relations coordinator for the Aspen Skiing Co.

Pam Mellskog (MA ’05) of the Longmont Daily Times-Call won the Colorado Associated Press Editors and Reporters second-place award in beat reporting in February.

Matt S. Nager (’05) is a staff intern on video journalism at Dallas Morning News.

Tricia L. Pavleach (’05) is a student in the graduate program in advertising at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Mass Communication in Richmond.

Brooke E. Safford (’05) is an advertising sales associate at Wired magazine in San Francisco who writes, proposes and organizes client events.

Joanna Small (’05) joined the KFYR-TV morning news team in Bismarck, N.D. She is assistant producer and anchor on “Country Morning Today” and also writes, edits and reports for the “Noon Report” and “First News at Five.”

Brian C. Straka (’05) is a social studies teacher who teaches seventh- and eighth-grade U.S. and world history and geography at John Rurroughs Middle School. He lives in Los Angeles.

Alexander P. Wilson (’05) is a project manager for promotions at Nerland Agency in Anchorage, Alaska.

Caitlin May (’06) is heading to Argentina for a legal internship with a law firm, Beccar Varela, this summer. Her primary task is to translate legal documents from Spanish to English.

Elissa Polls (’06) is a writer and producer at KWGN-Channel 2 in Denver.

Amy Sarno (’06) is a public relations coordinator at Monterey Bay Aquarium in Monterey, Calif.

Matthew Seckinger (’06) is a copy editor at the Vail Daily. He had been an editorial intern at Skiing Magazine.

David Tauchen (’06) has joined KGAN-TV as a reporter in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Harriet Sonham Hamilton (MA ’07), formerly a staff writer at the Summit Daily News in Frisco, won a first place in feature writing in the 2006 Colorado Press Association Contest in February.
