Obituaries

Charlie Truscott
Charlie Truscott ('57), professor emeritus of journalism, communications and literature at Metropolitan State College of Denver and Community College of Denver, died in December of Lou Gehrig's disease.

Truscott was born and raised in New York. After serving in the Navy during the Korean War, he moved to Boulder, where he attended CU and worked at local newspapers. Truscott was also a painter and director of Core New Art Space, an alternative art gallery. He was an avid volunteer for many organizations.

He is survived by his wife, Margo Ortiz y Davis, and son, Sean Truscott.

Steven Metzger
Steven Adam Metzger ('00), 28, died on April 20 in Colorado Springs. He was working toward a master's degree at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.

Metzger is survived by his parents: Keith and Julie Metzger; his fiancee, Mandy Keleher; a brother, Brian Metzger; and a sister, Tiffany Metzger, all of Colorado Springs.

In lieu of flowers, the family will be accepting monetary gifts on behalf of the National Pancreas Foundation.
