The '50s

Jerry Kopel ('51) and the staff of The Colorado Statesman won first place for public service in the Colorado Press Association's 2005 Better Newspaper Contest in February.

The '60s

Carol Kuykendall ('67), director of special projects for Mothers of Preschoolers, or MOPS, International, is the author of four books including her newest, "Five-Star Families: Moving Yours from Good to Great," released in paperback last fall. She is the co-author of four more books and writes for Guideposts and Daily Guideposts. Her free-lance stories have appeared in Reader's Digest and Parents magazines. She and her husband, Lynn, live in Boulder.

The '70s

Kirk Norlin ('72), who travels the country to document collections of minerals, opened a photo studio and gallery in Denver. His work was also chosen for permanent display in the Museum and Art Gallery of Mineral Sciences at Pennsylvania State University.

Wayne L. Dicksteen ('78) established his own financial services company after a lengthy career with New York Life Insurance Co. His business offers traditional financial services and audit reviews. He lives in Port Jefferson, N.Y. financialstrategies@hotmail.com
