The '90s

Kevin Gammon ('90) works for Foote, Cone and Belding in San Francisco, where he has done ads for MTV, Taco Bell and the Oakland Athletics baseball team. Gammon has been with Foote, Cone for almost 13 years.

Audrey Moskowitz ('90) left Pegasus Broadcasting in Philadelphia to return home to Denver in early 2002. Since August, she has been the manager of local programming for Echostar Communications, overseeing which local TV stations are carried on Dish Network across the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii. John Russell ('90) won several awards in the annual Colorado Press Association contest in February. He won third-place awards for sports writing and sports writing column, and five photography awards for feature and sports photography for his work for Steamboat Pilot & Today and Steamboat Today.

Amy Jewett Sampson ('90) has been appointed to a new position as senior adviser to Colorado Gov. Bill Owens. She had been Owens' deputy press secretary. Amy.sampson@state.co.us

Gina Seamans ('90) is the founder of DVCO Relations, a Denver public relations firm that offers traditional consulting services and a new service model that provides public relations at a reduced cost. She is the principal and senior public relations counselor.

Jonathan Wexler ('90) is the vice president of sales and marketing for Playing Field Productions in Denver, where he recently signed NFL Rookie of the Year running back Clinton Portis of the Denver Broncos. Michael Noe ('93) and his staff at the Rocky Mountain News online edition won a second-place award in February in the new category for creativity in the Colorado Press Association annual awards for dailies with more than 100,000 circulation. The News Web site also won first-place for multimedia in the CPA contest.

Patti Parisi (MA '93) is the co-founder and director of communications and strategy for Passionfish, a public education project that promotes sustainable fisheries and seafood, in Oakland, Calif. Patti@passionfish.org

Kris Hudson ('94), a business reporter for The Denver Post, won first-place in business reporting-investigative reporting-enterprise in May from the Colorado Society of Professional Journalists for "Unmasking Qwest," a three-day series that outlined what went wrong with the Denver-based Baby Bell. In February, he won a first-place award in the Colorado Associated Press Editors and Reporters contest for "Seven Steps to Solvency," a story that chronicled the travails of a telecommunications company.

Margaret Katz (MA '94) is the vice president of development and communications for the Community Foundation, serving Boulder County.

Michael Kelly (MA '95) of the Longmont Daily Times-Call won an honorable mention from the Associated Press Sports Editor Awards in February for columns in newspapers with circulation below 40,000.

Sue Bonk Schaedle (MA '95) started her own business, Medical & Technical Writing Solutions, in February 2002, providing writing services to biotech, pharmaceutical and high-tech clients. Sschaedle@earthlink.net

Matt Sebastian ('96) and Jennifer Griggs ('96) were married in Boulder last October. Sebastian is the Daily Camera music critic, and Griggs is an artist and a MBA student at the University of Colorado at Denver. He won first place for public service reporting for the Boulder Daily Camera along with Clint Talbott ('85) and Clay Evans in the Colorado Press Association annual awards contest in February. Ryan Katz ('98) continues to pursue a career in professional wrestling. He lives in Nashville and is seen on TV in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, New York and Tennessee. Susan Glairon (MA '99) won two second-place awards in February for feature writing for the Boulder Daily Camera. One award was in the Colorado Associated Press Reporters and Editors contest and the other from the Colorado Press Association.

Shannon McCotter-Hunt ('99) and her husband, Jonathon Hunt, had their first child in October; a girl named Jordan Marie. McCotter-Hunt is now senior producer at MSNBC's "The Savage Nation," which airs on Saturdays at 5 p.m. Shannonhunt@mac.com

Joslyn Nelson ('99) is the program operations manager for Crown Media International. She has been working with the Hallmark Channel for the past two years, assisting with the international programming broadcast in Europe, Asia and Latin America.
