Joe Champ (Ph.D. '01) recently accepted a tenure-track position at Colorado State University in Fort Collins.

Elizabeth Jacobs ('01) won first-place for best feature story in the small-newspaper category in the Colorado Press Association annual contest for a story in the Holyoke Enterprise.

Ryan Morgan ('01), a reporter for The Denver Post, won first-place award in February in the new category for creativity in the Colorado Press Association annual awards for dailies with more than 100,000 circulation. Morgan's story was about firefighters working to extinguish the Hayman fire.

Matt Porio (MA '01) is completing a semester in Washington, D.C., where he worked as an intern reporter for Newsday through the Washington Center for Politics & Journalism.
