He attended conferences in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and Bangkok, Thailand, over the summer and made presentations at meetings in Columbus, Ohio, and Denver in the fall. He has begun research, writing and lecturing on the interaction of media and religion in the 9/11 crisis and its aftermath. That was the topic of a series of lectures he gave at Pacific Lutheran University in California in January. Also in January, he was honored with the Distinguished Alumni Award at Pacific School of Religion, Berkeley, Calif. In February, his latest book, Practicing Religion in the Age of the Media, which he co-edited with Lynn Schofield Clark (98 Ph.D.), was published by Columbia University Press. Hoover@Colorado.edu |
