Post, News display shared DNA
More than 100 Denver-area alumni and friends of the School were among the first to tour the Rocky Mountain News and The Denver Post on Nov. 1 after an SJMC alumni reception on the 12th floor of the new Denver Newspaper Agency building in downtown Denver.
John Temple, editor of the Rocky, led tours of his newsroom while Greg Moore, editor of the Post, took alumni on tours of his shop. Other Rocky tour guides included Luke Clarke ('76), Michael Noe ('93), along with reporters John Ensslin and Burt Hubbard, who teaches computer-assisted reporting for the SJMC. Michelle Ackerman ('89) answered questions about the DNA. Fairlight Baer ('02) took alums on a tour of YourHub.com. Post tours guides included Doug Conarroe ('83), Glenn Asakawa ('93), Linda Castrone ('73) and George Merritt ('02). Denver Post Managing Editor Jeanette Chavez ('73), not pictured, helped arrange the reception and tours.
