Brent Cannon, Tom Stillwell, Jim Sanders

Three generations of CU Buffs, all of whom work in the same newsroom, collected Emmy awards in San Francisco last May.

Brent Cannon ('84), who anchors the morning news for NBC's KNTV-TV  in the San Francisco Bay Area, won for Best Daytime Newscast. Tom Stilwell ('98) produces one of the morning newscasts at the station and won for Best Breaking News Coverage. CU 1972 sociology alum Jim Sanders, vice president of news, accepted the station's Emmy for News Excellence, a new category this year.
