Staci Clark ('94) was recently appointed vice president of client services of WingateWeb. Based in Lindon, Utah, the company makes event management software and provides products and services for conferences.
Dan Pacheco ('94), the senior manager of digital products at the New Products Group in Bakersfield, Calif., won the 2006 Knight-Batten Awards for innovations in journalism for the The Bakersfield Californian's technology platform called Bakomatic. The software powers nine Web sites that let people express themselves through profiles, blogs and friend lists, as well as submit stories, photos and events for publication. The company's Bakotopia.com site also won an Edgie award in January for Most Innovative Visitor Participation.

Bonnie Burton ('95) works as a content developer for Lucasfilm Ltd. in Marin, Calif. Her new book, "You Can Draw Star Wars," will be available in January. Her other book, "Never Threaten to Eat Your Co-Workers: Best of Blogs," was published in 2004. Burton runs the Web site Grrl.com and writes freelance articles for the magazines Organic Gardening, Craft, Star Wars Insider and BUST.

Julie Hoffman Marshall (MA '95) recently published a book, "Making Burros Fly: Cleveland Amory, Animal Rescue Pioneer." She spoke and signed her book at the Boulder Book Store in May. Marshall is an award-winning journalist and a longtime advocate for wildlife, pets and the environment.
Julie Dybdahl Meidlinger (MA '95) and her husband adopted a baby boy, Nathan James Noon Meidlinger, from South Korea in January. He is the second child in the family. They live in Ann Arbor, Mich.
Pete Gillette ('96) is a program analyst at the U.S. Department of State. He lives in Falls Church, Va.

Jodi Rave ('96) visited the School as a Hearst Professional-in-Residence in October. She is based at the Missoulian in Missoula, Mont., which she joined after completing a 2004 Nieman fellowship at Harvard University. She covers Native American issues for 58 newspapers in 22 states for Lee Enterprise newspapers and has twice been honored by Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism for her reporting on race and ethnicity.

Christine L. Romero ('97) has left The Arizona Republic to join Westcor, a Macerich Co., as a manager of public relations. Westcor is the largest holder of retail real estate in Arizona.

Jay DeFrank (Ph.D. '98) accepted a new position as director of communications and public relations at United Technologies Corp. in Hartford, Conn. He provides communications support to the president and the chief operating officer, and manages communications and public relations at the corporate level for UTC's aerospace companies: Pratt & Whitney, Hamilton Sunstrand and Sikorsky. Previously, he was vice president, executive director, researcher and analyst at the Space Foundation, Washington, D.C.

Corinne Wakefield Lamoureux ('99) moved to Alberta, Canada. She is a grain farmer and is writing a children's book called "Alyssa's Grandpa Is a Farmer." She married David Lamoureux in November 2005. They met in Laos on the bank of the Mekong River.
