Todd Lamb blips onto Adweek Magazine's radar screen
Todd Lamb ('98) may have wanted to keep a low profile, but the recent publicity given to him by Adweek Magazine just made that tougher. Lamb was dubbed by Adweek in a September article as one of "The Best Creatives You Don't Know 2005." The fourth annual list looks at the "must-have young talent" in the advertising industry. Lamb was recognized for his work on the 10 Cane Rum campaign. Its popular TV and print ads feature "whimsical characters hailing from the rum's home island of Trinidad," according to the Adweek article. The 29-year-old Chicago native started working at the Mother New York advertising agency in 2004. Lamb spent 10 months working on perfecting the campaign. "He's a fantastic writer, and the depth of his thinking is like few," Mother partner Linus Karlsson told Adweek. "He has an interesting mind. He's elegant and subversive at the same time." Lamb previously worked at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners in San Francisco and wrote for the skateboarding magazine Big Brother. While at Goodby, Lamb worked on campaigns for "Got Milk," eBay and Discover. Lamb is currently working on a project for Target and another serving of 10 Cane ads. lambtodd@yahoo.com |
