The '90s Laura Porto ('92) has returned to Seattle from New York City but continues as a content strategy specialist for Avenue A | Razorfish, an interactive services firm. Rebecca Burkhead (MA '93) is a recruiter for the America Cancer Society in New York. Ron Kruck ('93) is in his third year as a host, reporter and producer for Mark Cuban's high-definition network HDNet, which broadcasts sports including "World Extreme Cage Fighting." He has co-hosted HDNet's original program "Across America" for the past two years and currently works the sidelines for live events including NASCAR races. He lives in Littleton. Cory Sher ('93) has been named director of affiliate sales and relations for Q Television Network's Western Division based in Denver, where he lives. His cable career started at Jones International Networks, where he served as regional manager for startup networks Knowledge TV and country music video channel Great American Country. He has more than 10 years of cable, sales and marketing experience. Richard Judd ('96) is an associate director of athletics at Kent Denver School. He left radio in 1998 to begin working in high school athletics. Jamie Kim ('96) is the 5 and 6 p.m. producer at KCNC-TV in Denver. Tracey Marx ('96) is the producer for ABC News' "Good Morning America" in Los Angeles. Matt Sebastian ('96) won two second-place awards from the Society of Professional Journalists for arts and entertainment features in the Boulder Daily Camera. Amy Bounds ('97) won second place at the Society of Professional Journalists' Best of Colorado Excellence in Journalism awards for education reporting: news or feature, for "School Harassment Debated," and third place for education reporting: news or feature, for "Integration Takes Step Backward." John Branch (MA '98) joined The New York Times this fall as a sportswriter covering the New York Giants football team. He got his first clip writing for Bylines and began his career at The Gazette in Colorado Springs after graduation. Jon Randazzo ('99) is an art director at BBH in New York. He was the art director for the agency's "Baileys Bubble," a 30-second spot that follows the progress of a bubble, formed in a glass of Baileys Irish Cream as it floats up and across a crowded bar, eventually escaping out into the streets. Ryan Thompson ('99) is a part-time bartender and attorney in Brooklyn. He was a comic-book dealer and a boxer for a while, then a newspaper reporter at the Cambridge Chronicle for a year and a half. He then moved to New York to go to law school and became a lawyer in January. He is also writing a book. |
