The '80s Kaye Bache-Snyder ('81) teaches writing workshops at the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities. She won several writing awards and was honored for "overall quality of writing" by the Denver Women's Press Club in 2005. Doug Cosper (MA '83) was awarded a Fulbright Scholar grant to teach journalism at private universities in Azerbaijan during the fall semester. Cosper has been training journalists and journalism students in developing countries for two years. Cameron Lewis ('83) has been named director of communications for the Boulder Valley School District. Clint Talbott ('85) won first place at the Society of Professional Journalists' Best of Colorado Excellence in Journalism awards for his editorials in the Boulder Daily Camera. Sherri Vasquez ('85) is the host and producer of "Latin View," which is broadcast on KBDI-TV in Denver, a PBS station. Jillian Flynn ('86) completed a master's in education from Fordham University in New York City. She is a teacher in New York Public School No. 36. Graham Hill ('86) works for a new auto dealership, Smart Motorcars in Boulder, which sells the European-made Smartcar that averages 60 to 70 miles to the gallon. Jeffrey White ('88) was named editor of Auto Graphics magazine, a publication that serves the custom paint and vehicle graphics market. He has served as editor of Restyling magazine, serving the automotive aftermarket since 2000, and RPM Guide, an automotive industry source book, all owned by National Business Media. He lives in Westminster. Breck Larson ('89) owns his own business as a producer and director of photography. Currently, he is a producer of a documentary about the band Alabama. He provided production services for "Extreme Makeover Home Edition," shot a special for "The Weather Channel," and crewed "Entertainment Tonight" and "The Insider" coverage of the NBA All-Star Games. |
