Candidates sought for global media studies position

The University of Colorado School of Journalism and Mass Communication is seeking an internationally recognized scholar who shares the School's commitment to a multidisciplinary exchange on the impact of global media.

The ideal candidate will continue to develop a program of work in global media studies that is recognized as an intellectual and practical resource both within the academy and beyond it. He or she may have a background in any discipline relevant to the teaching and study of global media and will be tenurable as a full professor at a Research I university.

This scholar will teach both graduate and undergraduate students, secure further external support for research and expand on the School's existing cross-campus collaborations.

The endowment's competitive compensation includes a research stipend. The position will begin August 2004.
