Alums hook up in Hollywood for deans' SoCal reception
 |
| Alum Jesse Morrow, left, is pictured

Morrow is an editor at Klaskycsupo studios, producer of animated
feature films and commercials. Louis is a producer at Cream Cheese
Films, which produces live television specials and the Rolling
Stones Four Flicks DVD boxed set. Cook is a multicultural recruitment
coordinator for Cal/West Educators Placement. She recruits administrators
and teachers of color for positions in California private and independent
schools. |
Hollywood's Renaissance Hotel was the place to be on Nov. 11, when 33 alums
and friends of the School gathered for an evening of catching up with old
friends and chatting up new ones.
Dean Paul Voakes, who with Associate Dean Stewart Hoover hosted the event,
updated alums on recent events at the School and introduced guest
of honor Heather Hach ('93).
Hach wrote the screenplay for one of the summer's biggest box-office
hits, "Freaky Friday."
Nonie Lann ('48), a veteran of many alumni gatherings in the Los Angeles
area, said she was particularly impressed by the turnout: "It's the
biggest crowd I've seen for an alumni event that didn't involve a football
coach."
Other SJMC alumni at the reception included:
Leslie Friedman ('01), Jesse Morrow ('97), Chris Livingston
('99), Wendy Fick ('02), Julie Zafiratos ('82), Justin Jeager ('98), Jason
Maddox ('01), Scott Greenberg ('00), Dimitria Cook ('92), Eli
Cook (MA '02), Erica Louis ('03), Bill Blackwell ('73),
Keri Barron ('97) and Judi Reich Goodfriend ('75).
