Janet Jacobs ('70) is a professor in the departments of sociology and women's studies at CU. She recently received the Distinguished Book Award from the Society for the Scientific Study of Religion for her book "Hidden Heritage: The Legacy of the Crypto-Jews," which was published by the University of California Press in 2002. She also won Best Outdoors Section 2003 and first place in community service.
