Stacey Baca ('91) has joined WLS-TV in Chicago as a general assignment reporter and co-anchor of the 6 p.m. newscast. She came to the Windy City from KNSD-TV in San Diego, Calif. Greg Bull ('91), an Associated Press photographer based in Mexico, won the Editor & Publisher Photo of the Year Award for feature photography in publications of more than 200,000 for a photo of men from a small northern Mexican town of La Joya playing soccer on a dusty field in January. Yasmine Schenkel ('91) is a producer with KWGN-Channel 2 in Denver. She has also worked on the station's Web site and coordinated the internship program. She took first place in arts and entertainment food writing for a story on firehouse chefs and third place in news features for a story on game wardens who hunt down poachers on Colorado's eastern plains. She took third place in the Colorado Associated Press Editors and Reporters Association's annual contest in feature writing for Amanda's Song, about a young violinist with Down syndrome.
