The Institute for Cornish Studies and Celtic Conferences
The Cornish Audio Visual Archive (CAVA) was created in 2000 for the study and documentation of the oral and visual culture of Cornwall. It advocates an innovative and interdisciplinary approach toward interpreting the events of the past and present that harnesses the multimedia power of oral history, cultural memory, film representations, photographic studies, ethnomusicology, sociolinguistics and landscape narrative. CAVA is also keen to encourage wider participation in the research and recording process through a series of pioneering educational and cultural initiatives.
International Study Commission on Media Religion and Culture
The International Study Commission on Media, Religion and Culture was a group of scholars and practitioners who gathered to consider the shape and direction of both productive and reflective work in these three intersecting fields. It is part of the wider ongoing process of reflection and study which is being conducted currently by various organizations and individuals throughout the world. It is intended to facilitate continuing dialog and to stimulate and support both scholarship and media production in the area.
