Nick Underwood, PhD Candidate in History, was recently granted two prestigious fellowships. Underwood received a dissertation fellowship from the James R., Anne M., and R. Jane Emerson (McCall) Student Support Fund in the Humanities, one of CU-Boulder's most distinguished graduate fellowships. He was also awarded the Joseph Kremen Memorial Fellowship in East European Jewish Arts, Music, and Theater (scroll down) from the Yivo Institute for Jewish Research.

Both fellowships will support Underwood's research for his dissertation, "Staging a New Community: Jewish Immigrant Culture in Interwar France, 1920-1940."

Congratulations Nick!
