The Multiline 8434 telephone is designed
to take more than one call at a time in a busy reception area. It
has 24 lighted feature function buttons in addition to the 10 call
appearance feature/function buttons available on the Multiline 8410.
Call appearance/feature function buttons
can be programmed by Telecommunication Services as either buttons
on which a call can be answered or buttons through which a telephone
system feature can be activated or deactivated.
Like the 8410, the Multiline 8434
provides the convenience of a built-in display. The display shows
calling/called party identification, indicates call status information,
and allows 12 pre-programmed features to be activated with the push
of a "soft" button. The 8434 also includes a full duplex
speakerphone.
The 8434 has pre-programmed conference,
transfer, drop, hold, and disconnect buttons, and a message waiting
lamp. In addition, each telephone is equipped with a ringer volume
control switch, test button, and message waiting lamp.
The Multiline 8434 telephone is appropriate
for those individuals who handle high call volumes, as in busy reception
areas. If the user does not require the functionality of 24 additonal
feature function buttons, the 10 call appearance/feature function
buttons, a speakerphone, and display information can be acquired
through the Multiline 8410 telephone at a lower price.
