Workshops
There are periodic beginner-level
workshops for SAS, SPSS, Mathematica, and IDL, and other
workshops can be arranged with Alex or Bruce as needed.

SPSS is a widely-used statistical software product used for analyzing and modeling data.
Eligibility:
SPSS licenses (via our site license) are available to faculty and staff
on any of the CU campuses, on university-owned computers.
Platforms:
SPSS v.16 is available for PCs running Windows
(either XP Pro or Vista, but not Home Edition),
and Macs running Mac OS X 10.4 or 10.5.
2008-2009 fee schedule:
An SPSS license good through July 2009 will
be $102. Licensed users are entitled to upgrading to newer
versions of SPSS as they become available.
How to get it:
Send the following information to sitelic@colorado.edu:
- SpeedType (8-digit departmental account code) to which license fee can be charged; or, personal check
- Operating system of computer; Mac or Windows?
What is included:
The campus license for SPSS includes SPSS Base, Regression Models, Advanced Models, Categories, Tables, Trends, SmartViewer and AMOS.
Support:
Tech support and advising help is available from Alex Pearson, 303-735-0159, Alex.Pearson@colorado.edu,
along with periodic workshops.
