  ITS Help Documentation

Mathematica is the premier all-purpose mathematical software package, for doing symbolic math, numerical calculations, graphics, programming, documenting and displaying work.

Beginning August 2007, CU students benefit from a full site license for Mathematica.

Eligibility:
Licenses are available to students, faculty, staff, and departments of all the CU campuses, including Denver and Colorado Springs.

Platforms:
Mathematica 6 is available for Mac OS X, Windows, Linux, Solaris, AIX, and HP-UX.

How to get it:

  • Download and install the software as per instructions, or request an installation CD from the Site Licensing office (sitelic@colorado.edu, 303-492-8995).
  • Register your copy online at http://register.wolfram.com/ using our license number L2437-5121 plus your own computer's MathID number. Be sure to use your CU email address.
  • A password (unique to your computer) will be forwarded to you via email from Site Licensing.

Support:
Questions and tech support problems can be emailed to sitelic@colorado.edu. Periodic hands-on workshops are available for those new to the software. Groups can request a workshop for more advanced topics.

Details and updates about licensing and support for Mathematica are posted at http://spot.colorado.edu/~sitelic/mathematica/.
