IT Support Community Event Held every semester, these events for members of the IT Support Community address campus-wide IT issues as well as topics of more specific technical interest. For details about the next IT Support Community Event, and those that have already occurred go to www.colorado.edu/its/supportcommunity/event.html Who is in the IT Support Community? The IT Support Community includes ITS Training, ITS Communication, and all four tiers of the ITS support model: Tier 1, self-help web documentation and publications; the Tier 2 Computing Support Representatives (CSRs) represent all over campus who are acting as the local points of contact for computing and networking support for their respective departments; Tier 3, the Service Center, Desktop Support (BugBusters), PC Maintenance Advisors, and Service Delivery; and Tier 4, the core experts-including, but not limited to Analysis, Architecture and Security, Development and Integration, Applications and Platform Operations, and Networking. This group of people is hugely diverse in IT skill and focus of IT knowledge, which is typical for this industry. However the IT Support Community at UCB is also diverse in expectations for support both from within the community itself and for end-users.
