IT Security Training—More Help with Taking the Course

Accessing the training modules

The modules are available through the UC Denver Blackboard system at http://blackboard.cuonline.edu. You should access training using your six-digit Employee ID as your Username and Password. (example: 123456 and 123456).

Once logged in, refer to the "My Training Coures" section to find the module(s) you have to complete.

If you are having a difficult time accessing the course, click here for detailed instructions.

Trouble logging in or going through the course

If you need assistance with the Blackboard system please contact CU-Online at 303-556-6505 or e-mail them at help@cuonline.edu. Please have your Faculty, Staff, Student Employee ID, or Affiliate POI ID number ready.

Verifying that you completed the training

You will be able to verify that you have completed the training in the My CU Portal at my.cu.edu and click on the "My.Training" tab at the top of the page. There is typically a 48 hour delay in the posting of the information to the My CU Portal.

Employees hired after automatic enrollment date

Employees hired after the registration date for each group will need to self-register for the courses. This can be done by clicking on the "UCB Training" tab in blackboard.cuonline.edu. Look for the "Information Privacy and Security" classes and click on "enroll."

Employees who are not proficient in English

Please contact the IT Security Office for additional information.
