E-mail, Virus Protection, and Defanged Messages

ITS has deployed new e-mail appliances, called Barracuda, that prevents many spam and virus e-mail messages from making it to your inbox. By using the Barracuda technology, it is not necessary to "defang" messages. This means that you will no longer find file attachments that have the word "defang" in it.

For more information about ITS spam and virus filtering, visit www.colorado.edu/its/email/spam.html.
