Download and install CUantivirus software

Overview

Antivirus software, an important security tool that helps keep computers and vital information safe from the daily deluge of viruses, and worms, is now available from Information Technology Services (ITS) at no cost to all CU-Boulder faculty, staff, and students. This software is not available for retirees.

CUantivirus is a pre-configured installation package based upon the eTrust antivirus software from Computer Associates (CA). CUantivirus is intended to provide antivirus coverage at no cost for each CU-Boulder faculty, staff, and student for both work and home/personal use and is ultimately expected to help increase the overall level of campus security.

Software Downloads (Version 8):

To download CUantivirus (eTrust) software, you may need your CU Login Name and IdentiKey Password:

• Windows
  • Windows XP and Vista: Download and install CUantivirus
  • Windows 7: At this time CUantivirus does not work on Windows 7. It may appear to be installed and running, but it does not receive any updates and therefore is not effective against viruses and worms.
• Macintosh
  • Mac OS 10.4, 10.5, and 10.6: Download and install CUantivirus
• Download CUantivirus for Linux
• Download CUantivirus for Solaris
• Upgrade to version 8 information
