RedHat End User Site LicenseThe RedHat software and updates are available for personal computers at no cost. Follow the steps listed below. If you have questions or concerns, contact Managed Services at 303-492-6096 or trouble@satellite.colorado.edu.RedHat VersionsIf you don't already have RedHat Enterprise Linux installed on your computer, or are contemplating upgrading, decide whether you want RedHat Enterprise Linux 5 (RHEL5) or RedHat Enterprise Linux 4 (RHEL4).Installing RedHat Enterprise LinuxIf you need to install RedHat but don't have a set of installation CDs -- or the single installation DVD -- you can download the appropriate ISO files, burn them to CDs/DVD, insert the first disk, and boot from the CDROM drive. For RHEL5, also download the install codes. Follow instructions to install RedHat in the usual way. After initial installation of RHEL4:

How to RegisterAfter RedHat (either RHEL4 or RHEL5) is installed, download the script EndUser-Bootstrap.sh from the activation

up a terminal window and run the bootstrap script, as root.
