Overview
Managed Services & Consulting (formerly known as UnixOps), is a
service group within ITS that provides network management utilities,
server and workstation support services, and Information Technology
consulting. Staffed by six full time employees and 3-8 student employees,
we currently provide software and hardware support for 40 university
departments and more than 500 Windows and Unix/Linux servers and workstations
throughout the campus. We focus on research computing, departmental computing,
and instructional computing needs as well as stand-alone systems used
by professors, researchers, and staff.
