Solaris Overview

Solaris is a form of Unix developed to run on workstation and server computers manufactured by Sun Microsystems.

Impact of Daylight Saving Time Change on this Technology

Sun Microsystems has issued patches for Solaris versions 8 and above.  Users running Solaris 7, or SunOS 2.6 and below will require manual remediation steps, and may wish to consider upgrading to more current versions of the operating system.

With regard to ITS, all Solaris systems are version 8 or above, and have either been patched, or have plans to be patched before March 11th, the beginning of the delta period.

Remediation Steps for Customers

No steps should be necessary for users of Solaris systems managed by ITS.
