Note: Click here If you are using version 7.1 Windows XP: Use Internet Explorer as Default Browser for CUantivirus Configuration ChangesIf you are using Windows XP and Internet Explorer is not set as your default browser, you will need to make it the default to change configuration options for CUantivirus. Click here to learn how to make Internet Explorer your default browser. Using the Realtime MonitorThe CUantivirus (eTrust) Realtime Monitor will be scanning for viruses while it is active. The Realtime Monitor icon will display in the system tray when the software is running, as shown below:
When a virus is found you will receive a pop-up dialogue box which will provide the location of the file and what was done with the virus.
Realtime Monitor - critcal informationIt is not advised that you ever disable the realtime monitor. The realtime monitor is your primary defense for stopping a virus before it can harm your computer. If you need to disable the realtime monitor, click here for more information. Manually Checking Files or Folders for Viruses1. You can manually check a file or folder by right clicking on the file and selecting Scan for viruses…
2. Select the green arrow to start the scan, as shown below:
3. If an infected file is found it will be listed in the lower portion of the results window under List of infected objects. If you need assistance with removing the file please contact the IT Service Center at 303-735-4357 (5-HELP).
