Macintosh CUantivirus Installation

Download the CUantivirus installer for Macintosh by clicking on the link below:

  • Macintosh CUantivirus Installer: CUAntivirus81.dmg
  • Works for Mac 10.4, 10.5, and 10.6

Please Note: To Download this Installer, you may need your CU Login Name and IdentiKey Password

Installation Instructions

1. To run CUantivirus successfully, you must uninstall any antivirus software before you install the CUantivirus software.

2. After you have downloaded the CUantivirus installer double-click on the CUAntivirus81.dmg icon on your desktop.

3. A new icon will appear on the desktop containing the uncompressed files. If a new window doesn't automatically open, double-click the CUAntivirus81 icon.

4. In the new window, double click the CUAntivirus81.pkg icon to start the installation process.

5. A warning window will appear asking if you want to continue with the install. Click Continue.

6. The installation program will start. Click the Continue/Update button to begin the installation process.

7. The Readme screen will appear asking you to read through the information. Click Continue once you've read it.

8. The Software License Agreement screen will appear. Click Continue to start the installation.

9. A confirmation screen will appear asking if you agree with the software license agreement. You must click Agree to continue the installation.

10. the Select a Destination screen will appear. If you have more than one volume, you must click the appropriate one, then click Continue.

11. Click Install to start the file copying process.

12. The Authenticate screen will pop-up asking you to provide your computer login and password. Type in both, then click OK.

13. You will be notified that upon installation you will have to restart your computer. If this is all right, click on Continue Installation.

14. The files will start to copy.

15. Once the file copying is done, click the Restart button.

16. Once you have restarted your computer, continue with step 17.

17. The program will automatically start. You can see the icon at the top-right hand in the screen. Click the icon to get the drop-down menu. Click Download Signature Now... option.

18. The Signature will download, and the window will close automatically when it is finished.

19. Click on the icon to view the drop-down menu again. To edit options within CUantivirus, choose Launch eTrust ITM from the menu.

20. Click Update tab.

21. Under Schedule Type click the dropdown menu next to Schedule:. For the most thorough coverage, select At Startup so that each time CUantivirus starts up, it also checks for updates to the virus definition files.

22. Click the Download Updates Now.

23. Next, click the Apply button to save the changes to the update schedule.

25. Click on the eTrust ITM Agent drop-down menu. Then click Quit eTrust ITM Agent. The window will close, but the program will still be running. You'll be able to open it again by clicking the icon in the top right-hand area of your screen.
