Overview

CU-Boulder students, faculty, and staff have several options available to them to carry out electronic communications within the campus community.

Listproc

Listproc is available for broad based open discussion groups. The total number of recipients in a list should be limited to about 200 members. Course listprocs may be created by the IT Service Center, or faculty may choose to create the list themselves here: www.colorado.edu/its/emaillists/

Bulk Mail

For bulk mail, please use the Boulder Campus E-Memo system. E-Memos are an effective way to communicate to a large target audience. Follow the links below to learn more about each specific type of E-Memo.

For e-mail communication with students enrolled in a course:

For small audiences both CUConnect and CULearn allow faculty to communicate with all students on a course roster via e-mail.

Note: Please do not attempt to send email to course rosters larger than 200 using CUConnect, CULearn, or your own e-mail account.

Sending bulk e-mail without using E-Memo puts a strain on CU-Boulder campus e-mail resources and may result in the suspension of your e-mail account.

E-mail Policies
