Configuring E-mail Programs for CULink — Windows Mobile 5 Device

ITS Help Documents >> ITS E-mail and Calendar Services Documentation >> CULink >> Configuring E-mail Programs >> Windows Mobile 5 Device

Overview

You can configure your Windows Mobile 5 device to send and receive CULink e-mail messages. These instructions are for all CULink e-mail users (faculty, staff, students, and sponsored affiliates). Note: This document uses Windows Mobile Professional (which uses a touch screen), but the instructions are the same for Windows Mobile Standard.

Instructions

1. Select Start, then Messaging.

2. Select Menu, then New Account.

3. Enter your e-mail address into the field provided. Then select Next. The next screen will try to determine automatic settings, click Skip, or Next if Windows Mobile has already attempted to determine the settings.

4. Enter your full name, CU Login name and IdentiKey password. Then, select Next.

5. Select IMAP4 from the Account type menu. Enter a name to identify the account (e.g. CULink).

6. In the Incoming mail: field, enter culink.colorado.edu. In the Outgoing mail: field, enter smtp.colorado.edu. Leave Domain empty. Then, select Options.

7. If you want your device to check for messages automatically, check Connect and check for new messages every box, and specify the number of minutes between checks. Then, select Next.

8. Check Require SSL connection and Outgoing mail requires authentication. Then, select Next.

9. Select Finish.
