Organizing Learning Modules

It is helpful to organize a Learning Module's content. You can organize content creating headings and indenting content under the correlating heading.

Creating A Heading in Learning Module

1. To access the Learning Module, click on the Build tab. In the Course Tools section, click on Learning Modules.

2. Click on the Learning Module you want to organize, as shown below:

3. Inside the Learning Module that you selected, click on the Create Heading button.

4. The Create Heading menu will open, in the Heading Title: text field enter your heading title.

5. Click on the Save button.

6. You will notice that the heading you have created is now listed with the Learning Module's content, as shown below:

Organizing Content Under Headings

1. The first step in organizing content under headings to move it the content item(s) underneath the heading. To do this, checkmark the content item(s) you want to move and do one of the following:

Move the content item(s) to anywhere in the list, except for the bottom or Move the content item(s) to the bottom of the list

  • To move the selected content items (anywhere except to the bottom of the list), locate the content item where you want the selected content items inserted above.
  • Click on the Move Selected Items Above button, as shown below:

  • To move the select content item(s) to the bottom of the list, click on the Move Selected Items to Bottom of List button, as shown below:


2. Once the content item(s) are situated under the headings, check mark the content items that you want to indent or outdent.

3. To increase or decrease the item(s) click on the Indent or the Outdent button, as shown below:

4. To move the selected content items to the first level click on the Outdent All button.

5. When content Items are indented or outdented they are renumbered appropriately, as shown below:

6. Organized content modules look similar to the example below:

7. You can view your organized learning module, by clicking on the Student View tab.
