CULearn Faculty Support — Customizing the Page Layout

ITS Help Documents >> CULearn >> Faculty Support >> Customizing the Page Layout

Overview

This document demonstrates how to customize the appearance of pages. You can choose to change the layout of the icons and/or text. You can also add background images and/or color.

Customizing the Page Layout

1. On the Build tab, choose the Course Content menu option.

2. Click on the Page Options drop-down menu at the upper right-hand side of the screen, and click on the Customize Page Display option.

3. Under Layout Templates you can choose between preset templates, or you can create your own. The template options and preview display on the right-hand side of the templates menu. You can also choose whether you want this set as the default for all future folders, or whether to make it the default option for all folders (Note: This will discard changes you’ve made to other folders).

4. In the Background Image section, you can upload or remove a background image. You can also have it tiled against the background if it is a smaller image. In the Background Color section you can set or remove a background color.

Note: Please keep in mind that lighter background colors with dark text are easiest to read on most computer screens.

5. Click the Apply button to save and apply changes.
