Overview

Instructors can create announcements for students, auditors, teaching assistants, or all of the above. Instructors can also choose to have the announcements pop-up when students log in to CULearn.

Creating Announcements

1. Announcements can be created from either the Build or the Teach tab. Click on the Announcements menu option, then click on the Create Announcements button.

2. In the Title: text field, enter the title of the announcement so you can reference it later. In the Message: text field, enter the text for the announcement.

3. In the Recipients section, select who sees the announcement. For instance, if you have an announcement about a graded assignment, you might not need to send it to you auditors. Or, you can send announcements to just the teaching assistants.

4. In the Delivery Dates section, designate a time to start and stop displaying the announcement. Choose whether or not to have the announcement delivered as a pop-up message when students and teaching assistants log in to CULearn.

5. Click the Send button when you have finished to save your announcement.
