Macromedia Dreamweaver 4 and MX

1. If you are using Dreamweaver 4, choose Define Sites... from the Site menu.

If you are using Dreamweaver MX, choose Edit Sites... from the Site menu.

2. In the Define Sites box, choose your site and click the Edit... button.

3. You should see a window similar to the one above. Since you are FTPing, you should have Server Access set to FTP. In the FTP Host field, instead of the host you want to connect to, you should type localhost:<portnumber>, where portnumber is the port on your machine which connects to the host. If you used the shortcut files included with the Secure Mac Installer to create the SSH tunnel, portnumber should be 5000, as in the picture above. You will still need to enter your account login and password in the appropriate fields. Also, make sure to check the Use Passive FTP box as shown above. Click the OK button.

4. Now when you connect to your host, your traffic and data will be going through the ssh tunnel.

Netscape Composer 4.7

1. Click on the File menu and choose Publish.

2. You should see a window similar to the one above. Since you are FTPing, you need to enter the ftp location in the Publish files to this location field. It should start with ftp://127.0.0.1:<portnumber>/, where portnumber is the port on your machine which connects to the host. If you used the shortcut files included with the Secure Mac Installer to create the SSH tunnel, portnumber should be 5000, as in the picture above. Following this is the path to the location you want to upload the file. Netscape insists the location end with the name of the html file. You will still need to enter your account login and password in the appropriate fields. Click the Publish button.

3. You should see a message that says the file was uploaded successfully.
