Connect to ITS Servers with Fetch 5.x |

Requirements Download the Secure Mac Installer (this includes Fetch and the other authentication tools you will need). InstallationRun the installer by double clicking the Secure Mac Installer. The installer will place all necessary files in the Applications folder How to ConnectNote: These instructions demonstrate connecting to an ITS server with Fetch 5.3 1. Open Fetch from the Applications folder or the dock.
2. Fetch will display a New Connection window like the one shown below:
3. In the Hostname: textfield, enter the Host you wish to connect to (i.e. spot, rintintin, etc).
4. In the Username: text field enter your CU Login Name.
5. Click the Connect using: drop-down menu. Choose SFTP from the options. Note: Do NOT choose FTP.
6. Enter your password. This should be your host (i.e., spot, rintintin, etc) password.
6. You can enter a directory into the Initial folder text field. If you're trying to access your personal web space you would enter public_html. You can also leave this field blank.
7. Click Connect.
8. You can now transfer files securely. (Note: Older versions of Fetch used Kerberos to authenticate. This version of Fetch connects via SFTP, so Kerberos is no longer necessary).
