Get Involved with iSTEM
Whether you are interested in becoming a high school science teacher or doing research on STEM education, there are many different ways to get involved with iSTEM. We're always looking for talented people to join our efforts as faculty, graduate students, or undergraduate Learning Assistants! The following are just a few of the ways to get involved. More resources can be found in the links to the left.
Attend DBER: The Discipline-Based Education Research (DBER) Seminar is a weekly forum for faculty and students interested in discipline-based education research and course transformation. This semester DBER is each Tuesday at 3:00 pm. Visit the Events page of our web site for a list of topics.
Apply for funding through the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in STEM Education. Faculty awards up to $10,000 are available as well as 25% RA appointments for Graduate Students. The Chancellor's Award is meant to seed, support, and encourage discipline-based education research. See the links to the left for more information on how to apply. We will start accepting proposals for this year's awards on May 1, 2011 with a deadline of July 1, 2011.

Collaborate on funding proposals – NSF, NIH, HHMI. CU Faculty have already brought in more than $20 million for STEM education. The more coordination and collaboration there are for funding, the stronger the programs at CU will be.
