10:00am - 11:30am - CU STEM Education Showcase
This poster session will highlight some of the groundbreaking STEM education projects on campus. Come and learn about how CU-Boulder is redefining learning and discovery in a global context, and setting new standards in education, research, scholarship, and creative work to transform STEM education.
11:30am - 12:00pm - Awards Ceremony
The awards ceremony will introduce the newest generation of STEM education scholars, the recipients of the Chancellor's Award for Excellence in STEM Education.
12:00pm - 1:00pm - Lunch & Keynote Address
Lunch will be served during a keynote address from Scott Green, Engineering Site Director of Google Boulder, and a brief presentation about the new Center for STEM Learning.
Scott Green is the Engineering Site Director at Google / Boulder. Boulder is an engineering center focused on Google Apps, Geospatial Systems, and Payments. The office also has sales, marketing, engineering staffing, and support personnel. Google acquired @Last Software (SketchUp) in March of 2006. At that time, Scott was the VP of Engineering. Prior to joining Google, Scott was Director of Technical Operations at ReturnPath and the Director of Engineering at E-mail Publishing / MessageMedia. Scott graduated from Iowa State University in 1982 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering.
