We are so excited for you to come join us at CU! On this page you will find important information to start a successful journey here at CU.

What is an "International Graduate Student"?

An international graduate student is pursuing their studies in a master's or doctorate  program at CU Boulder. An international student is anyone in the U.S. on a non-immigrant temporary visa, such as F-1, J-1, H-4, E-2, TN, etc.  U.S. permanent residents, refugees, and asylees are not considered "international" for ISSS reporting purposes.

When to Arrive

You must arrive by August 20, 2018 in time to attend the required ISSS Orientation from 2:30-4:40 p.m. in  Muenzinger E050. The session is part of the Graduate New Student Welcome Day. Registration for the International Student Orientation is not required, however, attendance is and will be tracked. Please bring your Buff OneCard and arrive 15 minutes early.

In addition to the ISSS Orientation, all graduate students must attend your academic department’s orientation.

Finally, you are required to attend an Immigration Reporting Session with ISSS. Please register using our Eventbrite Registration Page, click on the "Register" button, and choose one of the sessions. Additionally, pay attention to your email as official university communications will be coming soon and see the required steps for incoming graduate students
