Achromatic Systems: A Closer Look at the Cubic Phase Mask System Below are images of the area marked by the dashed box of the modified cubic-phase, achromatic system shown in Figure 1b. Here the individual channels corresponding to red, green and blue are shown as well as the composite, three color image. Notice the striking clarity of each channel despite the use of an imaging system with an extreme amount of chromatic aberration!
