The College of Music is hosting eight guests this week as part of an exchange with Renmin University in Beijing, China. From left: Gao Jing (viola player); Zhang Bolun (cellist); Fungfong Xu (piano instructor); and Huang Huirong (violin), look over drink selections while having lunch at the UMC on March 8, 2010. The students will take lessons, observe classes and attend concerts throughout the week. Several events featuring the visiting musicians are open to all. Students will spend spring break helping others
About 150 University of Colorado at Boulder students will spend their spring break vacations in service-learning programs helping people manage chronic disease through nutrition, serving as youth camp counselors teaching kids about the environment or taking part in one of eight other projects around the country. Realizing campus accessibility through collaboration
Teresa Nguyen, who uses a wheelchair, simply wanted the same classroom experience that other students undergo in her human anatomy lab in Ramaley 268. What transpired was a remarkable collaboration among the departments of Integrative Physiology, Disability Services, and Facilities Management that ensured her full participation in class. More >>
