Prepare for New Student Welcome 2010
It's time to begin planning for New Student Welcome 2010. The Division of Student Affairs will again be hosting a website outlining all of the activities planned for New Student Welcome, Aug.16-23. Please keep in mind that our goal is to officially welcome students and create excitement about choosing CU. This is not a time for formal recruitment processes. Student Involvement Week, Sept. 6 will provide an opportunity for the campus community to showcase organizations and recruit students. Please plan your event around convocation and Global Jam, which take place on Friday, Aug. 20. For more information and an activity submission form, email Andrea Kragerud. All submissions are due by March 15. Changes submitted after this date may be subject to a $20 charge.

2010 Campus-wide IT strategic plan
Campus ITS is initiating a strategic planning process that will continue over the next six months. Originally at the request of the CCHE, this process has taken place every four years since 1998, and is led by campus faculty and senior staff. Results will be available for campus comment in August 2010, with the report finalized in September. The goal is to develop a comprehensive plan that combines both high-level strategic planning with tactical plans to lead to specific results that support the campus and the Flagship 2030 strategic plan. Information is available on the website. Please email Marin Stanek if you are interested in participating on committees or in focus groups, monitoring progress of committees and project work via email, or to convey comments, questions or concerns regarding the process.
